About Detailed Access Guides

A Detailed Access Guide is an in-depth description of a place or space. It describes each part of the visitor or customer journey from arriving at the venue, to getting in, getting around and then everything that place, or space has to offer.

The aim of Detailed Access Guides is to give anyone who needs to know more about accessibility - disabled people, carers and those with long term health conditions - the information to decide if a place or space will work for them.

Detailed Access Guides do not judge or rate access, they simply convey the reality of what is available. They are ‘pan disability’, so they include 100s of pieces of information that are relevant to a diverse range of access needs. All the data collected has been directly requested by disabled people and carers over AccessAble’s 20+ year history.

Detailed Access Guides are published on www.AccessAble.co.uk. The website is used by over 6 million people each year and is highly ranked on search engines. AccessAble works with more than 450 clients to publish Detailed Access Guides to over 70,000 venues. This includes household names as diverse as TUI, Tesco, National Trust, Next, and Alton Towers.
